It’s that time between Thanksgiving and Christmas where you are really wanting to not get *too* much off track but are still tempted by all the treats around. #areweright?! Let us help you with a few key ways to stay on track during the holidays.

Managing Stress
Managing stress, during the holidays, huh?! Yea, we get it. Everywhere you look there are things to do, places to go, and people needing your attention. One of my (Kari) favorite stress management tools are the 3 anchors. When we have constant stress that follows us day to day it takes a huge toll on our bodies. Using the 3 anchor method helps us to have a beginning and end to our stress, it allows our bodies to get into a rejuvenating restful state. This method is simply having 3 times during the day when we have a check-in and focus on resetting before we move on with our day. Example: Morning quiet time before everyone is awake, lunchtime stroll or meditation, evening wind down (bath, hot tea, journaling etc) Keep it simple and doable!
Prioritize Sleep
Sleep is VITAL to our health. So much of our regeneration comes in the night when we are sleeping. And with all the stress we are under, we need that time for our body to be relaxed and for it to rejuvenate. Staying up extra late just to get things done is not doing you any favors! Turn Netflix off and get your tush to bed. Quality sleep can make a world of difference. We love to use Serenity blend & vetiver essential oils and Serenity soft gels for amazing sleep!
Stay Hydrated
Another MUST for staying healthy and on track with your goals is to not skip the water intake! Over the holidays we are likely consuming more caffeinated beverages like coffee and alcohol, both of which dehydrate your body.

Our bodies are made mostly of water and therefore need it for fuel! When you feel sluggish or have brain fog, try upping your water intake and watch what happens! Here are a few additional tips:

1. Make it a habit to drink one full glass of water in between any alcoholic drinks
2. Drink one glass of water extra for any caffeinated beverages you consume
3. Shoot for a goal of at least half your body weight in ounces of water per day

Take Your Supplements

I (Julie) used to think supplements weren’t necessary. Boy, was I wrong! I decided to try some high quality (this is key) supplements about 6-7 years ago and WOW! I have never had more energy than I do now! This is one habit to maintain during the holidays and if it’s not already a healthy habit of yours, now is the time to start! Here are some of our must have daily supplements for overall wellness:

1. High quality multivitamin and omegas (doTERRA’s LLV is foundational)
2. Digestive enzymes
3. Probiotics
4. Vitamin D
5. Vitamin C

There are lots of other great supplements but these are definite “must haves”!

Take a One Day Reset

The fastest way to get back on track during the holidays (or any time for that matter) is a one day reset. 24 hours of only liquids so that your body can focus on cleaning house.

This handy graphic makes this super simple for you.
Fact: Fasting is FREE and even saves you money (no breakfast or lunch). This is one of the easiest, cheapest, most impactful things you can do for your health!

You can do this anytime, but we challenge you to do a one day reset each Monday for the rest of this month. Talk about a GAME CHANGER!

Save for future use!

We pray this holiday season is happy, healthy, and that you remember the true reason we celebrate. The birth of Jesus is the greatest gift we could ever be given, we love you!
