Wouldn’t it be cool if all women knew…
that you set the temperature in your home
you see the world, not as it is, but as you are
it always starts with you- deciding how and when you show up- for yourself and for others
I would love to tell you more about what
investing in yourself means to me…

What are other women saying??
“God created us with a natural instinct of taking care of others but I have to choose not to believe He wants us to put our family before ourselves, after all, He did create our bodies in His image. For a long time, I did this and learned I was putting myself at a disadvantage but my husband and daughter were the ones who suffered the most. Our relationship with Christ should be the most important reason for wanting to better ourselves. I’ve seen it over and over where ladies are seeking a change and turn to a new diet plan or workout program. One of two things happen; they quit or it quickly becomes their idle because they have not or they just may think they have found joy in what their heart is deeply desiring. We as women are so guilty of comparing ourselves. Whether it’s her confidence, smile, body, whatever… we’ve all done it. I fell like this is when Satan really attacks us because we are so exhausted of taking care of everyone and everything else we forget about our own self or we have no clue just how much we are capable of investing in ourselves that we don’t even try.
Thank you, Kari, for being obedient in sharing how the Lord pricks your heart. Being a wife and mother along with trying to find yourself or “invest” in yourself is so very hard. I’m sure many ladies struggle with this more than they like to admit but at the end of the day, for me, the only thing it comes down to is discipline. When I finally learned what true discipline meant, plus the benefits of investing in my health (spiritually, mentally, physically) I felt as if God cleared my vision of who it is He wants me to be. It’s important, I believe, as ladies to know that we all struggle. There is not one of us that is perfect or better than the other. We are all going to have bad days and make bad decisions and that’s ok but when we get to a place of complacency with excuses that is not ok. It is very easy to make the excuses of not having time, not having funds, not knowing the first step to take, etc. but this is when the power of sisterhood comes in. The power of accountability!”- Morgan
“Discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness.” 1 Timothy 4:7
“My Dad passed away a little over a year ago – the sadness and anxiety was crippling at times. I was stressed, not sleeping and lacked mental clarity. I poured all my energy and attention to my family and job. Stay busy, don’t think about your feelings – remain in the mental fog. Make sure everyone is taken care of – you can deal with yourself later. I was living life, but not experiencing life.
I had been following Kari and Julie on Instagram, we grew up in the same town. It was a way to stay in touch and see just what they were up to. Over the next several months I began to truly read Kari’s posts, watch her live classes and studied Julie’s posts in the kitchen. I enjoyed their insight, but admired their approach to wellness…they kept it real.
One sleepless night I decided it was time to make a change and sent Kari a message.
When we first met, I wanted to be completely honest with her, but most of all I needed to be honest with myself. When you verbalize your struggles, anxiety, and fears it is a humbling experience. Kari listened – really listened – and gave me suggestions to begin making changes. She stated to start small and don’t get overwhelmed . Set goals for success.
I have cried while listening to their podcasts and laughed during online classes. I have become more aware of what is quality produce and been completely shocked at the amount of sugar in everyday items. (It is a lot folks!) I am embracing the use of essential oils, taking vitamins, and introducing cleaner eating to my family. All my prior struggles are occurring less – if I do “have a moment”, I have the resources to help naturally . A Natural Shift has truly changed my life.
I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to be healthy. My wellness journey is just beginning. The first step was the most difficult, but with this community of friends I know the rest of my journey will be filled with love, support and a good night’s sleep.” – Lindsay
