Making your own salad dressing couldn’t be Simpler! By creating your own, you can have a different dressing every week or even every day if you want! And the added bonus….NO chemicals or preservatives! Just add all ingredients to a jar and shake to combine. Here are a few of my favorite combos:

Basic (Simple) Vinaigrette

1/2 cup Vinegar (red wine, balsamic, white balsamic, sherry, white wine, or any vinegar will do), 1 cup EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil), pinch of salt and fresh cracked black pepper (S & P)

Shallot Balsamic Vinaigrette

1/2 cup Balsamic vinegar, 1 cup EVOO, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 1 minced shallot,  S & P

Red Wine and Garlic Vinaigrette

1/2 cup Red Wine vinegar, 1 cup EVOO, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 1 small clove of garlic finely diced or grated, S & P

Balsamic Honey Vinaigrette

1/2 cup Balsamic vinegar, 1 cup EVOO, 2 tablespoons Honey, S & P

Lemon Vinaigrette

Juice of 2 lemons and zest of one lemon, 1 cup EVOO, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, S & P

Balsamic-Lime Vinaigrette

1/2 cup Balsamic vinegar, the juice of one lime or 3-4 drops of lime essential oil, 1 cup EVOO, 1 clove of garlic grated or minced, 2 tablespoons honey, S & P

Sherry Dijon Vinaigrette

1/2 cup Sherry Vinegar, 1 cup EVOO, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, one minced shallot, S & P

Greek Vinaigrette

1/2 cup Red Wine Vinegar, 1 cup EVOO, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard , 1/2 tsp dried oregano, 1/4 tsp dried thyme,  (may also use oregano and thyme essential oils, dip toothpick in oil and swirl into dressing), 1 small clove grated or finely minced garlic, S & P
