Sweet and Spicy Nuts


3 total cups of raw nuts- I like a variety of cashews, walnuts and almonds but you can add any nuts you like. 

⅓ cup of maple syrup

1 tbs of salt

1tbs chili powder

¼ tsp cayenne pepper (add more if you like it hot!)

½ tsp smoked paprika 

½ tsp black pepper

4 drops rosemary essential oil


Preheat oven at 350

Place nuts in a large bowl. In a separate container mix together the rest of the ingredients. Stir well and pour over nuts. Mix well and transfer to a parchment lined baking sheet. Make sure the baking sheet is large enough to place the nuts in a single layer. Place in preheated oven and cook for 10 minutes. Take the pan out and stir the nuts. Put back in the oven and cook for 7-10 more minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle a little more salt over top while they are warm. Allow them to cool and store in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
